Are you getting enough web content?
A man is often judged by the size of his web content. That is to say, what you think of anything nowadays often comes from your perception of all of what is on his website, from the words, pictures, sounds, and whatever else they may have. Social networking sites, corporate websites, online news and hobby hubs are all developing something very important in the modern day: a personality.
Often times in these changing days, a strong judgement on any person, place, or even idea comes first through their personal website. When first meeting a new friend, people will often find them on social networking sites to find out what someone is like. When offered a job, or looking for new career moves, people will often hop on the web to see how a company is portrayed to the world at large.
Most people are unaware of their initial biased reactions to something, but the internet has become so interwoven with modern life that judging by web content is almost inescapable. Musicians are judged by the few songs on their Myspace, writers by their blogs, people by their interests, and companies by the aesthetics of their website. If these things aren’t up to the standards of a person’s tastes, the person will often not even consider what they are looking at for more than a few moments. Websites have to be catchy and engaging, and in only a matter of seconds.
But this modern marvel of communication does hold some questions. Should web content really be how we begin to judge our surroundings? If not, is there even a way to stop this? People are out there on the web, and every scratch, sniff and sound a person has made is just a Google search away. Flashy websites and hip blogs all factor in to how people are viewed. Often times, this will hold a solid judgement. If your website isn’t pristine in all the marvels of web 2.0, you might just find yourself down a friend or client before you’ve even met.
Should the web content on a person or company’s website have any impact on your thoughts? Or is it simply judging a book by its cover? The internet age may be nothing but another stage for survival of the fittest as the web savvy programmers conquer over the web surfers. It just may be the next step as society grows and the future nears today, as people turn to the web to find the next best thing, and move on to the next in a few seconds.

Original Articles - Three ways to draw traffic to your website
Whether you are a novice or a veteran in e-entrepreneurship, there will be one concern that will consume you all the time: drawing traffic to your website. Just like an office or shop in the real world, you will only be selling your merchandise when customers are made aware of what you are selling. When selling online, you will draw people’s attention through advertising; while you also advertise for brick-and-mortar stores, the advertising is a little different. One of the most effective ways to attract a crowd to your website is by publishing original articles that are relative to your items or service(s).
The first thing that comes to mind may be “Why is originality so important?”. Why should you not use content that already is there on net, only presented better? The answer might not always be obvious, though it is very simple. You, as anyone else, would be interested and attracted by new things or information. You would not waste your time on something that has already been said or done, so why should your customers? If you find that the content you are reading is stale, you would not feel compelled to visit the site and see what it had to offer.
There are viewpoints to consider. One is the personal angle, where people or prospective customers are attracted to your site, interested in reading content that is relative to what they are looking for. The other angle is from the search engine side; all search engine index websites (with the help of web crawlers or spiders) identify not only the keywords that you use in the content, but also whether it is duplicated. In the event they find it duplicated, the ranking of your website may (and very likely will) suffer a major hit. On the other hand, when you use original articles, the search engines reward you with a higher page ranking.
Last (but certainly not the least), original content would be able to whet the interest of your prospective customers. This will inspire them to bookmark your site, and visit repeatedly. Needless to say, if you manage to build enough interest to have people frequent your site, it translates not only in higher traffic but into higher sales, as well. Word-of-mouth advertising is (and likely always will be) the strongest marketing tool. The more interesting content you have, the more likely it is that people will tell friends or family about your site. Therefore, it always pays to use original articles if you want your e-business to take off.
